Goodness me, I didn't expect this response, thank you one and all.
Some fabulous considerations.

Update : An SCF member has offered me a set of Scott pages
I'll default to not mentioning his name, due to respect.

to wit...
Rod, I have a unused set of Scott National cut square pages, 1853-1973 you can have for zip, nada, nothing, postage included.

How generous, albeit, I do like to pay something, I like "give and take"
I'll sneakily pay via paypal

Timm : I have the c4000 files by Steiner, I had no idea he had "cut squares"
he has them under "envelopes"

Svennson : Thanks found the ebay offering on CD.

Thanks Don and everyone..............

Bidders really like US Stamps when presented on Scott International Pages, I think it's the density.

Question, for those who do mount cut squares onto album pages, what do you use? I am guessing not a clear mount as that could get real bulky fast. Little corner mounts that were used to mount photos into photo albums? Are those even still made? Something else? Thanks, I may mount my small collection of them currently in Vario pages.

I seem to remember some discussion here about using dots or small sections of larger, removeable double-sided sticky tape to mount items in albums. Can't recall where or when, though!

I do quite a bit of scrapbooking and all of the adhesives I use are archival. These may work as they are stronger than hinges. you can get them as dot or tape runners. Some are repositionable and they would probably work best. I will have to experiment with to see how well they work.

I have scrapbooks that are many years old I can check the back of the photos to see how they look also.

Thanks Dianne, I was asking. I imagine that even the photo corners are acid free, but these "dots" may be the ticket. Being two sided I am guessing that they would not damage the postal stationery or that would not be a good solution. I imagine a crafts store such as a Michael's would stock those? I don't use any hinges. John

Micheal's Is where I get all of my supplies the dots will be in the glue section. And they also have archival photo corners that are clear. I use them to mount my small miniature sheets.

I would be very leery of using the glue dots. I've broken down a couple of collections where they were used and the glue definitely migrated to the stamps, leaving a translucent stain on the stamp.

I only use mounts for my collection, preferring the ShowGard black mounts as they tend to show off the centering of the stamps best. It's a bit more expensive, but they also protect the stamps well.

Yes Stampman, I use Showgard mounts for my stamps also, clear and black in some cases. This is specifically for mounting cut squares and it sounds like I will go with the clear corner mounts. Thanks all.

I agree with not using glue dots for stamps but thought the may work for cut sqares. I also agree that the clear corner mount would be better.

svensson - Subway Stamps carries a decent selection of mounting supplies, including several sizes of archival corners:
