not so common on Her Majesty, more from KE7 onwards,
there are a plethora of "types"

Rod, I hope you did not follow the write-up of that page because it contains incomplete and false information.

First,
3/B-16/2 is the code of Basavana Bagevadi (16.5681°N 75.9754°E) in Vijayapura district of Karnataka, not Kaladagi.

B-16 is Kaladagi (16.205°N 75.5015°E), now in Bagalakote district of Karnataka.
3/B-16 is Vijayapura (13.2956°N 77.8008°E) in Vijayapura district of Karnataka.

As earlier explained,
B is the Circle code i.e. Mumbai.
16 is code allotted to the Head Post Office under Mumbai Circle i.e. Kaladagi.
3 is the code allotted to the Sub Post Office under the Head Post Office Kaladagi i.e. Vijayapura.
2 is the code allotted to the Branch Post Office under the Sub Post Office Vijayapura i.e. Basavana Bagevadi.

If it were the killer of Kaladagi, the code would have been B-16.

1/B-20/2 is Mundra (22.8395°N 69.7213°E), now located in Kachchh district of Gujarat.
B-20 is Bhuj (23.242001°N 69.666931°E) in Kachchh district of Gujarat.
1/B-20 is Mandvi (22.8395°N 69.7213°E) in Kachchh district of Gujarat.

3/B-20 is Morvi (22.81199°N 70.82362°E) in Morvi district of Gujarat.
Br. Indian Morvi SPO was established in 1876 inside the territory of the feudatory state of Morvi which maintained a separate state postal service from April 1,1931 to April 15,1948.

3/B-23 is Mahad (18.078999°N 73.411037°E) in Raygad district of Maharashtra.
B-23 is Alibag (18.6554°N 72.8671°E) in Raygad district of Maharashtra, not B-33.

3/B-9/1 is Umbraj (17.404005°N 74.102311°E) in Satara district of Maharashtra.

It is the primary reference for Cooper types 32&32a-c/Renouf and Martin types 17&17a-d used in Mumbai Circle but the list of post offices with specific codes is quite incomplete.

Mr. Joy,
The value lies in the inspiration it gave me at the time, without it I would have never been interested in India, lesser mortals would maybe have "trashed" or "binned" the heavily cancelled items.

Knowledge gained, is a transient discipline, we make errors, we learn and move on.

Your knowledge and reference materials are invaluable, but please consider, it was all gained by standing on others shoulders.
Allow collectors to make mistakes, we all do, correct us, sure, but bear in mind we generally don't intend to willingly give error information.

Rod, you perhaps don't know the identification of post offices 3/B-16/2, 3/B-16, 3/B-23, 3/B-9/1, 3/B-9, 2/B-5/6, 2/B-5, 6/B-7 and 5/B-10 was all done by me from covers, none was published before. I should have highlighted that.
