I am going through some Central American stamps (specifically Costa Rica) and I came across a line in Scott's that refers to printing varieties, but no description or listing. The Scott Classic catalog is no help either. In the past, I have referred to specialized catalogs, like Michel for Germany or YT for France, and have been more than informed. Is there such a beast for Central and South American countries, including Mexico? I have not taken a look at any Michel for these areas and would like to know if it is worth finding. My interests are pretty much before 1970, so this year's version is not necessary.

Thanks
Dave

To start I would look right here. There are many Central/South America collectors right here on SCF to ask questions.

Many of these countries have had specialized studies done by present and past members of the respective organizations and printed there own books.

To view some literature for a specific country please see the following links or go ahead and ask right here.

I am on the board of directors and a SERIOUS Costa Rica Collector. E-mail me your questions... I'm sure I can answer them.
