I'm assuming that these post card with scenic views on the back are privately printed since I can find no reference to them in my Unitrade. I can find the basic card listed but nothing about the pictures on the reverse. I have even checked the archives of BNA Topics.

Any help will be most appreciated.

Hi Glenn

I wasn't able to find those exact postcards either. However, I have found that using the databases from the manufacturers of postcards from that era to be very valuable at times. This is the list I use, and good luck.

Calgary's H. Enida Olive Co.
Winnipeg's Consolidated Stationery (C.S. Co.)
Montreal's J. C. Wilson
Ottawa's Photogelatine Engraving Co. (PECO)
Toronto's A. L. Merrill
Phillips & Wrinch
Pugh Manufacturing
Rumsey & Co.
Valentine & Sons
Warwick Bros. & Rutter

Hey Glen

These postcards are hard to locate..The only thing I got is the actual photo that the Legislative building was used in your post card...

The kicking horse canyon in Yoho was hard to find..Did not get your post card, but the only other one was the one below I found..

Try this web sit Glen

https://torontopostcardclub.com/cat...ard-history/

Take a look at this Glen..Wonder if certain printing companies bought bulk load of blank post cards from Canada Post and sold customers their personal post card with their personal pictures.

Even the states had personal/advertising pre stamps cards

SOME COMPANIES THRIVED ON PICTORIAL POST CARDS TO SEE TO THE PUBLIC

Here are more pre stamped Canadian postal cards that could be used by private printing companies.

Bottom line Glen...If these were part of the Canadian personalized postcards that existed back then..They could have been personal photos printed and we will NEVER be able to track them down.

Robert

The sepia cards were an official issue of the Canadian Post Office Department circa 1932. Mint cards are often seen, used cards witjhin the period are downright rare. As studystamps mentioned, they are listed in Webb.

"jarnick": that makes me wonder why, if they were an official issue of the Canada POD why are they not listed in Unitrade. Any idea as to the value?

Glenn
There is a lot of Canadian postal stationery not listed in Unitrade. Since the last edition of Webb is almost 20 years old, the pricing is badly out-of-date. The cards show up fairly consistently on ebay and that is probably the best gauge of their value.
