Prexies And Famous Americans Upgrade

It's snowing outside. Perfect time to effect the upgrade of my Prexies and Famous Americans series to MNH condition (a truly big deal for me). Inventory has arrived? Check. Verified no missing items? Check. Condition as promised? Check. Do-it-yourself mounting material on hand? Check. Storage prepared for displaced items so that they can show up in future kiloware? Check. Mug of the wife's most excellent coffee within reach (but out of harm's way)? Check.

A certain indescribable joy awaits. Laissez les bons temps rouler!

I know nothing about these stamps, but enjoyed your description of the steps taken and what must be a complete collection of both subjects.

What is a Prexie? (President?)

BlackJag, yes, Prexie is short for the Presidential series started in 1938. Those at the top of the OP's photo.

I was very intrigued by the Prexie set in my youth and had the complete set used minus the 2 highest values. This set was how I learned all of the presidents names in chronological order. I'm glad to see that you were able to upgrade yours. I recently received a complete set of MNH myself.

Can't wait to see the Prexies updated to include 21st century presidents ;~)

Nice! They all look to be well centered too, which can be an problem with these issues.
