That's nothing.

I'm going through approximately 5 pounds of machins, on paper, with my computer at hand going through Doug Myall's Deegam Handbook. With a 10x magnifier and UV light in the other hand.

That'll be be a test of patience and fortitude.

I started with the 50p. I have around 60 of those. Five in ochre and the rest in sand. And I'm dealing with head and value variations. Like, is that two or three curls under the diadem?

This may drive me mad.

Hope you're bearing up well with your task.

Larry

Dianne, I have made a small start on a Machin collection. I am almost discouraged with the magnitude of the task. I thought the US Washington/Franklins were challenging. They are only the warm up for the Machins. I envy you and I don't. Good luck.

Thanks for the site Steve.

I actually got half way through yesterday and hope to finish this evening. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I found scott's to be a big help and the pages I printed off had the colors. It was just a mater of figuring out the different shades of green etc. After I posted the pics I found a stock book full as well so I endend up with about 21/2 lbs off paper. Let me know if anyone would like some I have lot's of spares.

I'll post pics when I'm done.

Dianne
