Has such object any interest/value for stamp collectors?

I think 40000 must be Mark and then we are in 1923.

That is what is called a meter. Yes, people do collect them. It would be better if the date and town name was clear.

Here's the link to the first part of German meters on wikibooks - https://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Inter...many,_Part_1

Thank you very much, Battlestamps.

This is a great step forward with my german stamp knowledge. I have read some of the wikibooks in the link and found "A3. Bafra, Francotyp (MV), June 1923." which seems be the same, but mine is missing the company name etc.

There is two other details which may be interesting:

1. The number 40000
2. Most of the francotyp is send from Berlin, but here it is Bremen

Some more about francotyp her: https://www.postautomation.de/freim...talogstudie/

Dear I ask for approximately value?

From the International Postage Meter Stamp Catalog/Germany, Part 1

Your meter doesn't quite match type A3. I believe what you have is a bulk mail machine stamp. Look in Germany Part 3, the note after the PV2 entry.

Thanks to vayolene and Trainwreck.

The ebay examples explain the tax for letter abroad (Scandinavia) which of course is simular to Norway.

The Meter seems to be group PV (I agree), self-service which can be in Bremen.

One more question: In the cancellation BREMEN it can be read "9-10N I" where the date should be. Is this the date?

That's the time range. Yours doesn't seem to have a date.

I don't think yours is part of the PV group, it's just similar per the note. Since the catalog doesn't have a listing for bulk mail machine stamps, it seems the editors don't consider them catalog-worthy postage meter stamps. My opinion of course.

The postal rate is for printed matter in the period from the 1st of September till the 19th of September 1923.

Vayolene's examples nicely match these dates.

A short period of a certain postal rate is normal in the hyperinflation period.

Hi Johan Buvelot,

Based on the postal rate you mention it should be only a short period this letter has been cancelled in. Thank you very much for that info. The lack of date should then doesn't matter so much.

Value?
