Looking at the perf. tips, this looks re-gummed to me. There's no grill evident, so.. perhaps it has been ironed out and re-gummed to try and get a good cert.? There is substantial crazed gum. Opinions? Its bed time for me, so I'll not respond until tomorrow to any questions.

From what I can see it looks like all the perf tips are soaked in gum. Is it possible it may have been sweated previously in order to try maintain and redistribute the gum even though it is a used stamp?.

Also possible that the original user added some kind of glue when it was put on the cover.

No, it's just a perf crease.

But the stamp is used, why an interest in regum? Looking for examples of regummed stamps to use as reference? If so, that makes sense. If not, soak it off, clean up the stamp, and improve it's condition and appeal.

Not rejoined. Possibly a crease as mentioned above, plus the gum/glue stains make the perfs look funny anyway.

Perf 'gum/glue stains', on occasions can be attributed to 'incorrectly proportioned' Arabic/Starch mixture(cooked domestically) allowing infusion into tearing edges....on 'rare occasions' masking perf repairs.

Classic, just thought it may have been an effort by someone's to get a cert for a 114 without grill. I acquired it in a lot purchase some years back.
