I'm actually no longer collecting! Dad got me started when I was a kid, but I took a long break between the mid-1960s and 1980s. In the 1980s, I began gathering 1950s-era collections of pre-1940 Africa and, to a lesser degree, the Caribbean. I began designing album pages for my new collection and discovered I enjoyed that work and the sharing of information much more than collecting. So I've been slowly selling my stamps and spending considerable time researching them and writing about them along with Dad's postal history that I inherited. I've had a few articles published in American Philatelist and several published in the Indiana Postal History Society newsletter. I have shared some of my research online and have contributed to online fancy cancel and United Postal Stationery Society Die 88 (2c green Washington) postal stationery databases. I have scanned over 200 circa 1910 Indiana post office postcards that have been posted online at Flickr along with descriptions. Basically, I've been digitizing philatelic material for the past two decades and sharing as much of it online as time allows. And that is what brought me to Stamp Community...........
