<sarcasm> Brilliant! An entire new line of 'mounts' that can be sold to collectors. This will then drive new product development for wall mounted display cases! Finally, something that will stimulate new growth and business in our dying hobby. </sarcasm> Don
Edit: to bold and color the sarcasm tags so folks understand that I do not really think our hobby is dying. |

Who'd have guessed? I thought these were sold only on television.
Oops...never mind. Thought they were peddling the stands. |

those sorts of stands are actually quite handy for exhibit medals....it had not occurred to me to actually put stamps on them.

A plate display holder available at your local five and dime, woops! Dollar store where most items are now more than $1.00.
Don, don't know if it is really a dying hobby, or just evolving into a specializing/ specialist hobby of stamps.

You know, I am with Jim, it is weird, but I can't say that I don't like it... something odd about it. Maybe it's just Emperor's New Clothes syndrome, but there is something that is likable about it.
Edit: Maybe it goes along with the "Tiny Art Gallery" thread that I saw on here recently... |

Certainly fits the analogy that stamps are little works of art. They are often framed and put on walls, so why not stand them up on mini easels ala Norman Rockwell ? |

Acrylic stands sold for numismatic and challenge coin display. Smallest I've seen are 1-1/2" high.
