Help identifying if this is a US #8.

The circle is broken on the bottom and right side. Top is cut so I don't know about the top. Looks like a pen cancel.

Any info would be much appreciated

Scott #24. Type III stamps with a break at bottom that big are pretty hard to find.

Nano, seeing your other posts and this one it seems that every stamp you find your first assumption is that is a rare expensive type of a common stamp. Rare stamps are exactly that, rare. If you see multiple catalog listings and one is for $1 and another is for $10,000 you should assume you have the $1 variety. 98% of stamps were printed in the millions and billions so the first question you should always ask yourself is mine the one that was printed by the billions or the one of a kind? The rare stamps are out there but they usually come with a hefty price. Some do find the needle in the haystack but your odds are literally ........finding a needle in a haystack.
