Hi all I'm just learning after getting stamps

Just trying to work out wot things are wot, thinking I might get new Albans and put everything in the proper places as I've world stamps and everything isn't sorted only into countries and that's it

So I'm trying to use the stamp smart to find wot things are
Am I on the right track
I think this is #304 Lincoln 5cent 1903
It says 12 perforated but I'm counting 11 along the bottom and 13 down the side
Wot do you look for to find out which plate it is? Stamp smart is giving me a list of plates but no details on how to tell

Perforations are not counted, they are measured. You can pick up a perforation gauge for a few dollars in quite a few places.

I prefer the Scott multi-gauge for US Stamps. You can probably find them cheaper than this I'm just using the link to show the product.

You should definitely buy one but here's http://www.stampsmarter.com/learnin...rfGauge.html a downloadable perforation gauge that you can get started with.
