Scott 1999 shows design A19 as taller than A20, but Scott 2011 shows the reverse, A20 as taller than A19. One of them is wrong.

Finland experts: Please advise which is correct.

Thanks in advance.

Donald

The Vaasa design stamps are a little larger, as floortrader's pic shows. They also vary more in size.

The perf gauge is a key difference, with the Vasa issue being perf 11-1/2. The Vasa issue also has white margins around the designs. See floortrader's examples.

Do not compare sizes with Scott pictures. For one, the conversion to color was done over a period of a few years and done at different times for these images shown side-by-side in Scott. Further, do not take overprints or even basic stamp images to be always correct as shown in Scott. They are more accurate than before, but a fair number of forgeries or reprints are still shown.

Thanks, all. I have a few of the Helsinki issues, but none of the Vasa issues. I could tell the difference by perfs, colors, white margins, etc, but wanted to correct my Scott catalogs to reflect the correct relative sizes.

Again, thanks.
