I want to inquire about some Togo stamps I have. Are these forgeries? All of the overprints are, "Not Sharp", that is something someone told me would be an indicator that they could be genuine. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

The inverted overprint on your ($10,000)2M looks forged IMO.Poor impression, fuzzy. The "A" in Anglo looks very narrow. The top of the "r" in French looks wrong.Narrow "O" in Occupation….The "n" & "h" in French look wrong also. The genuine overprints were of good quality, clear; even with their different settings. There are only a few genuine recorded examples of the inverted overprint on the 2M.

Someone told me that because it is somewhat shifted/tilted. It is signed though. What do you think about the 3rd row down, second to the right? The f on, "franco" is a little chopped off. Is this common? Thank you.

From the pics the 3rd row stamps look fake. The ending "e" looks wrong(a bit wide & deformed).Misaligned letters..Strange "f" in franco in the green 5 pfennig… I Don't trust this selection..maybe some else can give their opinion. |

Did you buy all these (and the other Eesti overprints) in a collection, and were they defined as forgeries?

Yes I bought these, not in one big collection, but separately from different sources. No they were not defined as forgeries. |

All are fake, the high BPP position indicates that it has been tested and found false, the location of the BPP signature indicates that it is perforated with overprint.
the Kilian signature is genuine, and the Bothe is fake. |

Dr. Dub is found on both genuine and forged German area stamps and the signature has been forged itself. It is not considered reliable at all today. |
