Good day to all of you. I am having some troubles with the identification of this stamp. I am new to whole stamp collecting thing and I've been searching for few days now, trying to identify what kind of Washington this is. I would be grateful for every type of help.
Thanks in advance.

It's a "George"

I sure am lucky that you are "grateful for any kind of help".

Seriously though, welcome to the forum.

Identifying stamps like the one shown can be somewhat complex.

Most likely it is a common stamp with little value. With a modicum of effort, however, the research could go a little deeper. As a "long time beginner", I truly enjoy the learning and the hunt. In that vein, you may want to try stampsmarter.com and also order a really nice free catalog from a stamp company that rhymes (exactly) with a famous seaport in Connecticut (Hmmm?.......I'm seeing Mystic Seaport in my mind's eye). Welcome aboard mate!

Good luck

Thank you all for the reply.
I will eventually learn how to measure perforation as it seems that is not only important for this one stamp.
In the matter of ordering collection of stamps, I do already have more than 2000 stamps that I need to sort and learn about it. Maybe someday in the near future. I will post some interesting findings.
Every kind of help about measuring or this stamp in general, will help.
Hope you all have a nice day, take care.

No measuring this stamp is necessary - you will need a perforation gauge to accurately determine the perforations

No watermarking is needed for this issue. This design/series is not watermarked.

However, the basic tools the beginner will want to become familiar with include:
tongs, perf gauge, watermarking equipment, and a basic catalog.

You will also need a good magnifying glass as the ability to look for identifying characteristics on stamps is a necessity.
