In A Stack Of Letters I Found A Scott 519 From November 1917, Value?

Hello, so I found 4 scott 519 stamps all perf 11 and the from either 1917 or 1918. The dates are shown on the post cards, but for now I want to ask about the earliest one from November 26, 1917. When looking about on some of the auction sites I saw that one from a month earlier(second earliest scott 519 found) than mine, had sold for $3500. It was in great condition and so I was wondering how mine would compare. What kind of monetary price could this piece be worth.

That is not Scott #519. #519 reads "TWO CENTS", not "2 CENTS 2". Wrong type.

Oh my, I was so excited and had blind eyes. I guess that happens if I look through a stamp collection everyday for a week. Thanks for the help.

Understood, human nature makes this an easy trap to fall into.

Always start with the assumption that you have the most common variety, this prevents 'conformation bias'. When you assume that you have a rare stamp, it clouds your judgement and makes it very difficult to make the proper ID since our emotions pull us in incorrect directions.
