Stamps that don't have an invoice from a purchase or are not certified yet can't be insured at all for the amount that you only think they could be worth. Not insurance in the world will cover this. I asked also FedEx and insurances about this, and this is it.

First step would be to show a better scan, especially from the back, then people can help you.

You do not have a 594 or 596. Don't waste your money on a cert or shipping a couple of stamps worth less than a fraction of as penny.

I hope the OP does post a high res image so I can follow the dialogue and see how forum members walk through the sorting/identification process.

You can remove it from the safety box, it is a flat plate printing, it is not a rotary printing.

Several observations:
1. I doubt the identity of the 577. More likely a perforated stamp trimmed down.
2. Poor technique of fingers instead of tongs.
3. What is so difficult about supplying us a hi-resolution scan of the front and back?

I wrote a longer reply here and deleted it. No more time to invest on this.

It is in a safe box at the bank. Kinda hard to make a copy of the back when I can't get to it until Monday.

As far as use of tongs. My fingers were touching the other stamps and not the in question.
