Romney Marsh ram, designed by Falkland Islands artist George Roberts, engraved and printed by Bradbury, Wilkinson & Co., Ltd., and issued for use in Falkland Islands on January 2, 1933 as one of a set of twelve stamps commemorating the centenary of the permanent occupation of the islands as a British colony, Scott No. 65.

Here is an image of a stamp designed after a detail from an oil on canvas painting entitled El Buen Pastor ("The Good Shepherd," c. 1660), by Spanish painter Bartolomé Esteban Murillo (1617-1682), printed by photogravure, and issued by Spain on March 24, 1960, Scott No. 921, plus an image of the original masterpiece, on display in the Museo Nacional Del Prado, Madrid.

The Bizet is a domesticated breed of sheep originating from France. It grows wool but is primarily raised for meat. In 1952, the Bizet was introduced on the Kerguelen archipelago, where it is utilized as food for the scientific station there. Here is an image of a stamp depicting Kerguelen Island sheep, featuring a Bizet ram's head, designed and engraved by Jacques Combet, and issued for use in French Southern and Antarctic Territories on January 1, 1989, Scott No. 149, plus a photo.

Here is an image of an airmail stamp depcting a ram and a ewe, printed by photogravure, and issued by Hungary on April 5, 1951 as one of eight stamps in a set publicizing a Livestock Expansion Plan, Scott No. C89.

Here is an image of a stamp illustrating Isaiah 11:6 from the Bible: "The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb...," a metaphor for peace and stability used by the prophets of Israel, printed by lithography, and issued by Israel on September 5, 1962 as one of a set of three stamps commemorating the New Jewish Year, Scott No. 225.

Karakul: Karakul or Qaraqul originated in Central Asia. Karakul sheep are a multi-purpose breed, kept for milk, meat, pelts, and wool.
Tsigai: The breed originated from Asia Minor. It came to the Balkans and beyond at the end of the 18th century. It is useful for its milk, meat, and wool.
