Would these stamps be worth anything?

You can click on the photo to see the image full size?

Also I guess I would sell them if they are worth anything.

Thanks.

Mike-

Welcome to the forum. Are you interested in stamp collecting, or are you primarily interested in just identifying what you have here? The stamps themselves look to be pretty common. There isn't enough resolution to positively say anything about the postmarks; in theory, they could add some interest, but usually they don't.

There is a fifty post requirement for selling, so this may not be the best avenue for sales.

If you're thinking about looking into stamps, hang around a while.

Cjd

[edit...I clicked on the "show full size" link...now there is plenty of resolution...I still didn't see anything out of the ordinary, but a specialist in German occupation stamps would have to weigh in for sure.]

Hi Mike:

Welcome to SCF. You need to go over to the Welcome Forum and post an introductory message about yourself. Also, please read the forum rules. You're not allowed to buy/sell until you've reached 50 quality posts -- it's one of the few (but important) rules we have to make SCF a better place for everyone.

You'll find lots of friendly and helpful folks here. And after you reach 50 posts, you'll likely find someone willing to buy or trade with you.

I apologize. I have no personal interest in stamps. My grandmother found these stamps and wanted me to check online for their value and if anyone would want them.

No problem...the fastest way to get some idea (however unreliable) of what they might sell for is to check ebay or one of the other online auctions, and look for Allied occupation of Germany stamps. I think you'll find quite a few (although I haven't checked), and you might get an idea of value.

Good luck.

Cjd.

A lot like that would sell for a few dollars. Maybe $4-$5(on a good day with alot of luck), nothing to get to excited over.

Minus $8 in ebay fees

Just kidding, Marcham89 -- just an inside joke based on some of the other discussions.
