Try as I might I cannot locate this French stamp:

50 cent
Bluish
Vignette of sale boats on a lake with mountains in background
Engraved
Archipel des comores on the bottom

Looks like late 40's to 60's in date

Thought it would be easy as cooperatives of France listed at end of WW Scott catalog but whether I look under "Archipel" "des" or "comores" noting is listed

You might want to try Comoro Islands.

Makes the hunt a bit rougher with no photo. If you have not tried the website below it may be helpful. It does not use Scott numbers but can help you narrow things down.

I found the one below with a search of just 50C and Comoro Islands. This one appears more green than Blue but the description matches.

Willwood—no reason to be snarky. I was just asking for help. I am also not a beginner and sincerely tried to find the item myself including going through every image for France in volume 2 of Scott International catalog. Since the designation RF appeared in the left lower corner it seemed it would fit there and not under Comono which quite honestly I had never heard of before. Thankfully your attitude about helping others is atypical for this website and forum.
