1909 Franklin Misprint?

As a novice to the stamp collecting world, I would like some help to determine if this would be considered a misprint. The stamp is much lighter in color than what I have found from the same year as well as less detail in the image. The color is difficult to tell from the image in the photo but as you can see there's much less detail in the image. Thanks for the help!

Billions of these stamps were printed. Over time, the plates would wear, and worn plates produce lighter impressions. Also the ink was mixed as needed, and it was never exactly the same every day so lighter or darker impressions would occur. There is nothing unusual about these stamps.

This is not a misprint. There is just a difference in the degree of inking from printing. Compare the crosshatched background behind the head in the first stamp and the darkest one below and you will see filling/less or no white paper showing on the latter.
