Hello my name is Mike. New to this club and have inherited a stamp coll.I have many stamps from the 1800s and are needing some help identifying them would greatly appreciate your input on this .I have a 3 cent locomotive stamp and can't tell if it's a grill or not please let me know what you all might think .I see the price variations are insanely different and can't seem to distinguish which one I do have.the stamp is still attached to a letter of correspondence and don't want to remove it in case of damaging it .thank you all for any info you might be able to give to me.

A picture would not only be nice but virtually be necessary

Yes, a picture would be nice. That being said the odds are slim to none that your stamp is the 1875 reissue. A date on the correspondence just might answer your question right away.
