Need Your Help And Opinions On Non-Cover Covers

So the collection like I said is small, but I am finding that each envelope has way more than I thought. Now, this new envelope has some wonderful stamps from late 1930ish give or take to maybe the '90's. The problem is they are ruthlessly ripped from whatever envelope or heavy envelope they were on. Some were cut so there is no way to tell where most of them may have come from. Some are lucky to have partial cancellation stamps, but most just have the lines. As there is no envelope to make a cover, is it better to remove the stamp from the paper it is on? Here is one of the smaller examples. Again, no information to be gained, just the lines. Some I know to keep as is, as they have at least history on them, but these.... What do you think?

Never soak off cover.
Soak off "piece" if you need it for mounting but,
do not soak if a full Postmark is evident etc, or other marks.
Why?
Stamps are bountiful in the main, why soak when clean stamps are available

So many collectors waste time soaking multiple same stamp issues...why

The stamp you show (common) has 3 interesting points
What watermark?
Has "selvedge"
Has a "Jubilee Line"
I would soak it, if it were my only example.

Soak them, if you want the stamp. If you have more than one, just soak the best example and put the others in your swaps pile. These Wilding definitives come with various watermarks, so that's an example where soaking a few might be worthwhile.
