Now to add to the bigger picture of the way things happened in daily life within the KGV era is the stage coach. Bet those roads were very rough & impasable at times but the mail had to go through no matter what. Bad luck if you got a flat wagon wheel in the middle of nowhere. |

We took a ride yesterday to get out of the house..found a antique shop and of course found some postcards..in the "better" section was a beautiful postcard of the Coronation of King George V ! It was a supurb card..and a price to go with it..it seems to me it was in the $18 to 22 dollar range..my wife found it..if I had used my head I would have taken down info on it for KGVcollector..printer etc ! |

I suppose if our cynosure is on KG5, we have to address all the family. The abyss created by the lack of interest in Australian "cut squares" will one day have to be filled. I wasn't sure if it needed a dedicated Thread. To bang it off, a lettercard. |

Followed by an Octagonal (without "postage") Descriptions are not to be relied upon, just best data at hand at the time. There should be around 150 "types" |

They make me want to weep. They're soooo much nicer as covers and lettercards |

Indeed they are Jubilee, As collectors, we have to deal with what we are given right? In a strange quirk of nature, when you see a page of them, they grow on you. And can be pricey to boot, definitely worth saving. The discipline is quite accepted in the US. |

I must say that this thread is a great read. I also want to thank everyone who came forward and presented their expertise. This is what makes this a great hobby. Now I will have to go through all of my KGV stamps and check for varieties etc. Thank you all for the inforamtion Chimo Bujutsu |

Jubilee...if the time comes where you have a scan available, I'd love to see it. Not only do I not have any SWA cut squares, I'm not sure I've ever seen one. Collin |

I'm sorry if this is seen as de-railing the thread, but this is for Colin. Nice isn't it? |
