Qeii Wildings Errors Or Not

Hi just joined so new to this community,
I have inherited some stamps,amongst them are allot of widings stamps
I have been researching them and two in particular which I cant seem to find in the catalogue that I have,the stamps in question are 1955 6d st edwards crown e2r and 1958 10d multiple st edwards crown both are inverted watermarks are these errors and if so how rare are the?

I don't have a current QEII Specialised, but neither of these is listed in my older copy. Could you scan the stamps front and back, please?

I don't believe the inverted watermarks are errors. I think they are standard production varieties found on stamps intended for booklet panes.

Inverted watermarks derive from booklets that have panes printed upright and inverted in a single printers sheet.
Neither of these stamps were ever issued from booklets. The highest value wilding stamp issued from booklets is the 4d.

Consequently, inverted watermark stamps with higher face value must come from sheets fed upside down into the printing press. This is extremely rare. The Stanley Gibbons Great Britain Specialised Catalogue volume 3, 10th edition (1998) does not list these stamps with inverted watermark.

If indeed you have a 6d and a 10d Wilding with inverted watermark - irrespective of the watermark -, they may be very rare.
