Stumped me. Looked kinda like a Syrian Revenue stamp to me, the cancel may suggest a Passport. I checked all Middle eastern revenues without luck. The clue is the building, however my memory fibres are not connecting. |

Don't know the stamp, but the motif looks like it could be Saudi Arabia |

The currency unit appears to be fils but that still leaves a number of possible countries.
Maybe Iraq? |

The inscription at the bottom reads "biladiya al-Basra". Basra is a city in Iraq. |

Exhausted my travels. Looked at 1000's of Iraquie stamps, nothing remotely similar, Tried 7 fils, Turquoise, Lebanon, Tunisia. Could not locate the architecture as well. I figure it must be an Iraq Departmental revenue.

My translation app has put out the following:
At the top: What fee At the bottom: Al-Masryah Al-Misratah
So it could be Misrata/Misurata (Libya) |

Google translate is getting me "entertainment fee" for the top line, assuming it is rasoom al-malaaha. |

Hey all. I think I may have at least found the building or at the very least very similar to what is in the stamp. Description: Basra Port Location: Basra, Iraq Date: 1930-1939 The Colonial Office photographic collection held at The National Archives Of course I may also be completely wrong |

Oh gosh I am sorry to keep everybody busy with my request while it's not a postage stamp. I got it in a box full of stamps and couldn't make anything out of it.
How does that work aboauf? Fee stamps instead of chips in casino's? Casino's in Iraq? Long time ago under British administration I assume? |
