Have problems figuring out some of these W/F stamps. This pair is perf 10 unwatermarked. Are they 452 or 490 or something else? How does one tell? Is this technically a line pair or is the color line just something else from the rotary press printing process? Flaws, so not concerned with whether they're worth anything, just identifying them correctly.

Thank you.

452 is single line watermark.
so if you have a no watermark coil perf 10 vertically, then you are talking 490.

http://www.stampsmarter.com/feature...rank_ID.html is a big help to working through identification of these.

And yes, that is a joint line pair.
Good margins on that pair btw. nice.

Thank you for the info and the tip on that great tool on StampSmarter. Continuing with my efforts to catalog my duplicates for sale, I had the one below logged as a 429 with perf 10 but my poor eyesight can't make out whether that's a watermark or what. That's the best picture I can provide.

Any assistance that anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Finally, one last W/F logged as a 334. Perf 12; what's that watermark (gotta do something about these cataracts of mine). Is it a 377 instead?

Thank you again.

Last one, the 4 cent Washington, sure looks like a perf 12, double lined watermark, flat plate 334 to me. Can't tell about the watermark on the 6 cent, perf 10. Gotta be a single line 429, I guess. Both are very nice! I'd be a buyer for both.
