I have a set of six of these which I believe are from Crete. However, I can't find them in my Scott specialized. I'm thinking they were printed but never issued. Can anyone give me any info on these. Thanks. John

So, this is the 1905 issue of the Therisson rebel group, the third and last of 3 issues. All have been forged. There are 6 values for this issue: 5L, 10L, 20L, 50L, 1D, 2D. All are illustrated in the article referenced but are not necessarily genuine. The 4 lowest genuine values are cheap with the most expensive ones being the top values at €3 and €4 in the 2012 Vlastos catalog.

These exist used. Since the prices are the same for all except the top value, I can only assume this means they are CTO.

Additional forgery ID: See the images in the referenced article (Thanks, rod!) The scrollwork in the frame is murky/harder to see in the forgeries.

There were only 50,000 of the 10 lepta and 10,000 of the 1 drachma printed.

However, there are also lots of reprints such as these two.

The originals are more cleanly printed.

There is also a huge number of forgeries.
