I have a stamp from espana with a noticeable red thread from the bottom to the top and numbers on the back, please advice. Thanks Mara

All the stamps from this set (but one) bear a control number on the back.

That is not a thread, it is viscous ink during production.
Common on these issues.

I considered this, but no, I think the viscous (sticky) ink, may have encouraged the paper to move, I think just smudgy.
