Looks like the first three letters are MOB, but the town name is very weak. What would MOB stand for?

That's it exactly according to Wikipedia: "The town was named Mobridge for its railroad designation, a contracted form of Missouri Bridge, after the original railroad bridge over the Missouri River."

That is probably how "more bridge" is pronounced and spelled in some parts of the U.S.!
