Barcelona's local tax revenues issued by 1931/1939. The text, in Catalan, says: "Barcelona's housing and barracks". The labels were affixed to house rent contracts.





The images show old Barcelona's fortifications, disappeared by 1855.

Yes, it appears these particular stamps are used for the import of beverages from beer to sodas to juice (liquid or powdered) to kefir (even bottled water). They are to be affixed to the cases, boxes, packages containing said products. They are for tracking for the purposes of customs, and for paying import duties wich range (Edit: these are per liter) from .18 to .10 Quetzals.

The SAT (Superintendency for Administration of the Tributary) which is basically, the Guatemalan Treasury Dept, has a website (http://portal.sat.gob.gt/sitio/), and this page shows them giving details about the use of these stamps: http://portal.sat.gob.gt/ct/portal/...start=6.html.

Of particular interest is a presentation regarding all import and revenue taxes in Guatemala. It is in Spanish.

I used to date a young lass whose mother swore by Kefir Milk,
she used to make her own IIRC.

I love the stuff. I have made my own yogurt, but never considered making my own Kefir (the process is extremely similar).
