I Would Like To Have Some Help With This George Washington Please

If anyone has read my posts they would know that I have tons of stamps and don't know a lot about them but I have been on stamp smarter please do not reply look at this site. I'm really just asking you your opinion Im not a expert for sure. Its simple I can't tell by looking at this stamp what Grill it is,for one and for two I haven't seen one of these without a side perforated. I ve looked at lots of pictures so I'm going to post these photos to get someone else's opinion thank you.

Though it's hard to be positive from the photo, it looks like an "F" grill to me, making your stamp a Scott #94.

JVPool, the easiest way to identify 99% of the grills from the 1861 series is to count the columns from left to right:

Less than 14 columns = F Grill
14 columns = E Grill or about 99.9% it will be an E Grill. The Z Grill also has 14 columns, but the points of the grill will be horizontal instead of vertical.

15 columns = You have a good one....D Grill #84 for the 2c and #85 for the 3c

More than 15 columns = if the points come up through the top of the stamp it is a "C" grill. No possible way it's a "B" grill.

You would want to consider getting the stamp certified if it is C, D or Z......

The stamp pictured-- I can see 11 columns, maybe a 12th...definitely an "F" grill #94.

Thanks for the help. Does the strait side make the stamp worth more. Or is this common.

Actually detracts from the value. Collectors prefer all 4 sides perforated on this issue.

I can tell you, I wish I had had this stamp in my album when I first started collecting years ago. I would have been tickled pink to have something from 1867 that wasn't a torn or wrinkled scrap!
Seeing the pages in your other post where you began assembling part of the accumulation, you have a nice little nucleus for some fun identifying and organizing.

I want think everyone for there help I do not collect stamps but ended up with thousands of this stamp once I get them in the proper book I will be selling the lot I will be posting the rest of the collection when the madness is done lol.
