Hello everyone and looking forward to taking advantage of the Stamp Community Forum.

A little about myself...

BACKGROUND: I've been collecting stamps since I was a kid in the early 70's. I started with a Harris Stateman album, updated to the 2-volume Harris Standard albums in the late 70's, and have kept that up through annual supplements (and additional binder purchases). I stopped collecting when in college in the early 80's, got back into it for a few years in the last 90's and early 2000's (and joined the APS then), and then stopped again. In the last month, I've got back into it again, mainly focusing on sorting all the loose stamps and soaking the paper off of the 15+ pounds of kiloware I still had.

FOCUS: My focus is what seems a unique, dying breed: I'm a general Worldwide collector, and am most interested in postally used stamps. I've always enjoyed purchasing kiloware and off paper stamp packets, and haven't ever generated any substantial want lists...yet.

STAMP EXCHANGE: I've also thoroughly enjoyed exchanging stamps with other stamp collectors, both in the USA and around the world. I'm primarily interested in trading for recent, postally used commemoratives (from 80's onward, and especially from 2002-now) in quantities of 1-200. I can offer USA issues and also general Worldwide.

SOCIETIES: I'm a member of the ISWSC (International Society of Worldwide Stamp Collectors) again, and a new member of the ATA (focus on Princess Diana), United States Stamp Society, and Stamporama.

OTHER INTERESTS: I'm also interested in mint and used 20th Century British Commonwealth (especially coronation issues), Tonga, and want to expand my US collection to include more 19th Century and pre-1940. I'll most likely need to create want lists, and purchase from dealer price lists/catalogs/approvals and auctions. Even with that, I still plan on purchasing kiloware, stamp packets, circuit books and ebay.

Thanks again for reading this, I hope to find some exchange partners (no want lists or SCV trades for now), and stay safe!

Take care,

Rick

From a fellow Michigander!

I think you've found a good home for your interests! There are a number of WW collectors here!

Experienced stamps need a home too. I'd rather have an example that is imperfect than no example.
I collect for enjoyment, not investment.

Welcome, Rick! I hail from Michigan myself and also collect WW. I hope we can do some trading once you've hit the 50 post milestone.

Regards,
Greg
