Hello. I recently innheriteted my grandfather's stamp collection comprising two ring binders, the first is full of stamps, usually from a collection or theme. The second
consists primarily of letters and postcards with the stamps attached. Unfortunately he was a smoker so everything has a smokey aroma. I don't know anything about stamps, but have photographed what I believe to be the oldest in the collection,
I will do my best to upload them shortly. Could you let me know if these are of particular interest?

Many thanks, Daniel.

Unfortunately I couldn't manage to upload the images onto the forum, but the link below should take you to them. These represent probably 5% of the collection, if it would be beneficial I could photograph each page and upload them.

I've tried again to upload the images, but I think a terrible internet connection here is causing it to fail. My apologies for going about this the wrong way, but if you remove the text in the the above link in brackets, and replace with goo(dot)gl you should be able to view the images.

Thanks again.

Daniel

Daniel - hello. It depends what you mean by "interest". As the basis for a developing collection, yes; in terms of financial value, no. The "omnibus" issues - Coronations, Royal Visit etc - are popular with collectors, but are common. The covers are attractive, but carry minimal monetary value.

Thanks for all the advice, I think the collection may get donated to a local charity who takes such collections. The smokey smell is too much for me!

Thanks again.
