Am looking at an auction listing for these stamps that has the note:

"NACHDRUCK" PRINTED ON GUM IF GOVERNMENT ISSUED SCOTT CATALOG $6,025.00

I know this means reprint.

See nothing of the sort mentioned in Scott. Can anyone help?

You are correct. These are offset-printed reprints. The ones that I have seen would never fool an experienced collector.

Sounds like a description on a GVS German auction lot.

It literally said "Reprint printed on gum if government issued" and made it look as if they were worth $6025 under those conditions. It made absolutely no sense. Was wondering why Scott made no mention. Nor the seller as to whether or not "NACHDRUCK" was printed on the gum. But I get it. By the way, someone picked them up for $36 + 15%.

I always watch his lots with that description to see what they fetch. I was shocked at some of the realizations last night.

I was surprised at the amount of bids and realizations. I tie it to the national lock down and too many people at home on their computers. I was only able to win 6 out of 28 lots I had interest in. Usually I can hit on a higher percentage there.

Yes, I agree, and attributed it to the very same thing. I first bid with them in February and won 12, including a fine used Canada 4 for $20. In March I won 14, including the Newfoundland moose set, 115-126 F-VF hinged for $80. This time it went for $150. I usually go by a percentage of catalog, higher or lower depending on what it is and where it's from, and saw many jumping beyond my limit, sometimes nearly up to 50%, maybe more. This time, I managed to get 8.
