Good Morning All,

Since all of these were printed and received in a series - I am showing a total of 3 1971 U.S. Scott Catalog stamp 1396 First Day Cover double transfers. I have a standard here for comparison. I don't see them in Scott's US specialized and I don't see any on the open market. I would need to know their estimated value before selling please.

Thanks

what you are showing is the cache on the envelope used & not the stamp. The envelope was printed by a separate company & provided to the Postal Service for use with the SC#1396 8c USPS LOGO stamp. What you are showing are printing anomalies. These covers were postmarked in numerous cities on the day the USPS changed USPO.

In order to have a double transfer, you need a plate. These were not printed with plates. There is no catalog for these envelopes.
