Hi there:

Thank you for accepting me.

I have finally got around to organizing my stamp collection from when I was a kid and hope to pass it along to my grandkids when the time comes.

I was hoping someone could help identify these stamps. Two of them are clear and the third is a heavy postmarked red eagle. I thought it might be Polish, but have not been able to find a matching photo anywhere.

It appears to say "Post" at the top right-hand corner, "PK" or "PR" at the bottom-left and 10 or 15 bottom-centre.

Thank you in advance;

Smalltowner

Welcome to SCF!

Your stamps are (top to bottom): Yugoslavia, Finland, and Germany. The middle stamp is an advertising label, and not a postage stamp.

Actually, I answered my own question on the red eagle stamp. It appears to be German. When I looked at the enlarged photo, I thought it read "Reichpost" and it appears I was right.

Bob,
impressed with your early ID of Finland.
How did you recognise that? I cannot quite read the emblem, are you able to read or know it? So I can save the info for my future ID.
Thank you.

Rod, I was able to identify it because I have one of them which sat on my "unidentifed stamps" stock book page for probably 10 years.

Several years ago someone on SCF identified someone else's copy of the label...so, that was a nice little unexpected gift for me. Although I can't take credit, the Cinderella's i.d. made a lasting impression.

Fabulous. Thanks to both of you.
(I thought it may be Turkish, originally)

The FFF in the logo would be the name in Swedish:

Finlands Flygförbund

Thank you. I attempted to identify both SIL (although I wasn't 100 per cent sure it wasn't $ 1 L) and FFF, to no avail.
