I hope this is the right area to post this. I found an old Postal Card and the cancellation reads Thomass? CAL Oct. 5 AN 1909 I cant find a town named Thomas in California.
I also need help to id the Scott number

On which cut square do you find this city/description? A much larger picture of just that one would help. According to the 2020 Scott Specialized this series of stamped envelopes wasn't issued before 1915.

From 10 April 1907 to 30 September 1913, a town called Thomasson existed in Solono County, California. The town had one 31 mm CDS. There is no other post marking device mentioned.
So it is possible you have a partial strike.
