Good Morning,

I was hoping someone could help me read the notes on this US PC8 postcard. I can't make it out... but believe these postcards are UX14. I don't have a substantial resource to identify the postcards I have - so thank you in advance.

I've been looking at the UPSS website but I couldn't possibly pay for all the publications... so which one would be best?

https://www.upss.org/code/publications.php

Thanks again!

The notations refer to the flag machine cancels - the type and point value - per Frederick Langford's "Standard Flag Cancel Encyclopedia"

Add:
B14(bl)/14pts. (B14 is a very common style of flag cancel, per Langford's typing system. The "bl" means a blank space in the stripes field, not showing.)

B14(1)dd. (The dd means different die.)

The point scale goes to 100. 12 & 14 point flag cancels are typically in the $1 retail range.
