I bought and advanced US stamp collection and on the early classics I found these 2 stamps. I would like to know the Scott number and their possible value? Thanks.

Hello,

Confederate States Stamps - Left stamp is Scott CSA 11 - it appears unused. The Cat Value in 2018 was $18 for a blue stamps. If this was identified as a Milky Blue color it would be #11a and have 2018 Cat Value of $55. This would need to be compared to other known stamps/colors to confirm it as Milky Blue.

Right stamp is Scott CSA #12. This appears to be a Keatinge and Ball Printing (based on solid background within frame and color) which has a 2018 Cat Value of $21 if unused.

Remember cat value is just a guide and condition is key.

Hope this helps
Hobsun

Nice stamps with nice margins. Any US collector would love to have these. Unfortunately they are also the most common of the confederate stamps and can regularly be found for $5-$15 depending on condition, postmark, etc.
