Still searching for information on the whereabouts of the John Hufnagel stamp collection. John passed away 3 1/2 years ago in Glen Rock, PA. He was quite active in the York, PA stamp club.

John and I became acquainted when I conducted the Schermack Control Mark census in 2013. He had a nice collection and exhibited it from time to time. I am not aware of any of his material coming to auction.

Any information would be appreciated.

Have you thought about contacting John's relatives or wife/significant other?

No I wouldn't feel comfortable doing that. Perhaps I was even wrong to post it here. I had mentioned it once before. Someone was going to contact a stamp dealer they knew in that area. Forgot who it was and never heard anything back.

Hopefully someone is enjoying it. Hate to think it's gathering dust or worse.

If you were to contact the family and buy the collection at a fair price, you might be doing the family a favor. Nothing wrong with that in my book.
