Does anyone have a picture which shows the difference between these Scott's Catalogue numbers. The editors state that 3992, 3993 and 3994 are lithograph while the others are photogravure. They also state the "Phil@poste" on the lithograph is sharp and crisp, while on the photogravure stamps are muddy and unclear. When I use a 7x loupe the "Phil@poste" looks clear on the 9 stamps of this set which are supposed to be photogravure - muddy and unclear. Any help would be appreciated in showing the delta.

Perhaps you could show us pictures of the stamps you're talking about - Scott numbers won't mean much to most collectors of French stamps.

@Geoff

I agree. They will use Yvert & Tellier. Scott has very little use in Europe.

I think OP posted a similar question for two other stamps. My best guess is OP refers to stamps from 21 January 2011 issued first in booklets and 3 days later from sheets. There is a site that shows all the stamps. It starts with C, but seems taboo here - neither its name, nor links to it are allowed -

Hi,
I don't have French stamps, but I have 2 Germany 1990 Sc # 1618 and 1619b stamps, printed by the two methods.
To the left of the images -photogravure.
The difference is obvious at a sufficient degree of magnification.
