Used pair with 'thick & thin N on NSW'. Philatelically interesting, compared to common pairs.??

Well spotted finches.
No idea if collectable but philatelically interesting!
You'd need to see a full sheet to work out the positions of the stamps on the plate. |

Yes, interesting - plenty of variations to be discovered on these stamps - and very affordable for the philatelist.
Which watermark is it? Which thickness of N have you found to be more common in your collection, thick or thin?
The left frame of the first stamp suggests that they might be the first and second positions of a row.
The stamps below show that it is not the bottom row. Each pane was 10 rows of six stamps.
P.S. I don't know if it is still possible to change the heading but the 'shield' was the 1d stamp for these issues - this one might be just called the 2d Queen Victoria 'Diamond Jubliee' or 'Record Reign'.

Faidinkumstamps,
Sorry for delays, had to re-do my 'SLACK repairs' on this Hard Drive.
Watermark 'appears' No 36 (smaller crown that No 40) over NSW, in Stan Gibbons Cat'.
As viewed - the left stamp has a line margin on it's left side. 12 x 11.5 perf'. |

So first and second positions on a row as suspected.
The watermark cannot be watermark 36 from the Stanley Gibbons catalogue - those stamps were not issued with that watermark.
It must be watermark 40 (2mm gap between crown and NSW), 65 (1mm gap between crown and NSW) or 68 (Crown over single lined A). |

Fairdinkumstamps,
You're RIGHT again, dare I print..'definitely No 40', crown with top circle & cross above.
Cat' has texter circles/dots from previous custodian, partially obliterating numbers referenced.
SG Empire stamps Cat' 1840-1936, Vol' 2. 2000 edition page 6. |

Hi finches,
Your numeral is 1606 of Annandale.
Gulargambone was never issued with this type of cancel.
Loads of Australian history in the Sydney suburb of Annandale. Much to do with George Johnston. |
