The rare 1942 6d koala fully imperforate was on the 1947 "official" list of stolen stamps, but as far as the Melbourne Note printing Branch was concerned, no examples had been seen on the market and it seemed to the MNPB that all examples stolen were amongst the material confiscated.
The stamp shown also has printers ink on the selvedge.
Yet one pane was missing (80 stamps in all), it is unknown how many of these stamps survived.

Hi Partime

Thanks. Of the 80 that existed, it is believed that no more than 30 had survived time.

Rob,

If you cannot change the 6d in the title to 4d ask an admin to do it.
