Help wanted with research of flaws common to New South Wales postage dues and first series (space at foot) Australian postage dues.
The best reference for Australian postage due stamps (including Victoria and New South Wales) is the Australian Commonwealth Specialists' catalogue. Australian postage dues, including printing flaws, are best detailled in 'Commonwealth of Australia: The Postage Due Stamps 1902 - 1963' by R P Hyeronimus, printed in 1980.
The first series Australian postage dues were printed from the actual plates used in the production of the New South Wales dues, but with the letters 'NSW' chiseled off the printing plate, hence the white space at the foot of the design.
I have noticed from time-to-time that flaws seen on the first series Australian issue also appear on the New South Wales issue. I cannot find any reference to flaws seen on the New South Wales postage due stamps.
Here is an example on the 5s stamp:

See the scratch from the bottom loop of the '5' to the last 'S' in 'SHILLINGS'? Also note the space at the foot of the design in the Australian issue?
I have a full left pane of 60 of the ˝d stamp for each of the New South Wales and Australia issues and have identified ten flaws common to both. I want to expand this to other values.
What I am seeking is scans of blocks and multiples of these issues for comparison purposes. The relevant values are ˝d, 1d, 2d, 3d 4d, 6d, 8d and 5s. I realise multiples of the higher values, 8d and 5s will be hard to locate. Margnal singles will also be useful. I can only ask.
I will publish my research here.
Thanks,
John
