Others have invested time in the thread so removing it has to have lot of justification. As a fly speccer I am sure you understand if others are also detail orientated. No worries here. It was pointed out that you posted an opinion, you verified it was an opinion, so lets just move on.

I think you are reading far too much into this.

This issue is well know for many colour shifts. It seems that the control of accuracy when printing these stamps was poor. Although to do the job they were designed for that did not matter. Surely the designer would be not be thinking of collectors with magnifying glasses when producing this issue.

Looking through the stamps I have I see examples of the brown moving from above the black by a millimeter or so to below the black lines by the same amount.
