I think I grouped them to show left to right a progression of better. Including color.

I can see that.

Nice centerline stamp, too!

OK, one more 3c Imperf from my accumulation. Too early to call it a collection!

10A 5L0

The plating database page says this about this position:

Characteristics of Position 5 L 0:
Scott Number: 10A
No. of Impressions: 21809
Relief: B
Misplaced Relief:
Chase Recuts: 1+24
McDaniel Recuts: 1+24
Shifts: Double Transfer
Cracks:
Guide & Other Dots: UR dot

I have looked carefully but can't find anything that seems like a double transfer. Can anyone point out what I have missed?

Nice stamp, banknoteguy. I looked closely at your stamp, and also at the Chase print for this position, and I can't see anything that looks like a double transfer.

The Chase print labels this position as having a shift, and a left inner frame line that runs down too far.

Based on the image provided, the large group that Baker posted likely has a few OB stamps in it...

Laurie, Your first stamp appears to have nice color. Not much more to say because of the margins.

The second stamp has seen better days! A worn-plate printing plus damage and a lot of fading.

The third stamp is from plate 2L or 3, with nice margins, and one line recut in the upper left triangle.

Yes, the last one is by far the most interesting. A very nice plate 5L stamp with a double transfer at the bottom that affects the bottom of the letters.

Here's an image of a similar double transfer; position 83L5L:

Thanks, Laurie. My stamp is a yellowish rose red.

I'd love to see them. Closeups of the stamps, I presume?

sinclair2010, please tell me what you saw in that last lot scan I did. These colors run together too much on tired eyes that need new glasses.
