I finally found the time to go through my US Washingtons accompanied by the Scott Special US Catalogue.

It's fun albeit time consuming.

So far all stamps were of the common kinds as could be expected and are still welcome in my collection, its fun id'ing all different wm's, printings and perfs.

This one may be a better one I hope.

I think this stamp is #355 coil, it has perf 12 and I don't see another option for it but I am far from an expert on these stamps and welcome all opinions!

Peter

Be aware that W/F coil stamps are often faked/altered (some estimate that as many as 80%-90% are not genuine). This link will help you better understand the 'source' stamps for altering coil stamps; http://stampsmarter.com/1847usa/WFFakes.html
Also note that W/F flat plate coil stamps rarely have perforations that align, finding one which has perfs aligned means you should be highly suspect if the stamp.

From the picture it looks like the top Edge in the bottom Edge are not parallel to each other. That would make this a fake. The the Precision multi gauge has got a section for checking parallel edges
