Scott 26 type III on cover, vertical pair, bottom of the sheet. Left and Right frame lines continuous, extend to the bottom of the sheet.
And I believe that the left frame line is doubled at the bottom.
Between the top and bottom stamp there seems to be an issue with George's chin.

Top chin on the right, bottom chin on left.

Is there anything documented on the differences?

Cover just for kicks with a blue (Craven County) Newbern, NC type 8 double cancel.

I found the embossed seal interesting.

the one on the right seems to have a more sharp chin. not as rounded as the left one. but look at the mouth on the right one his lips aren't right. It looks to me like he is sticking his tongue out. also top of fore head the shading lines on his head are very heavy on the right one.

George appears to be blushing on the top stamp, shading is heavier under his eye and on his cheek.
