Malta KGV 1925/26 Revenues - Date Of Issue?

In the mid-1920s Malta decided to stop issuing dual-purpose postage and revenue stamps and replace them with separate issues of postage stamps and revenue stamps. On 1 April 1926, the dual-purpose Melita definitives were issued with "POSTAGE" overprints to reflect the new situation, and a Malta Study Circle study paper cites a government notice which suggests that the revenues were also issued on that date.

The revenues depicted the portrait of King George V, had face values ranging from ½d to £5 and were issued in five types depending on their intended use (unappropriated, Applications, Contracts, Registers and Stocks & Shares). They were printed by De La Rue and the stamps had been sent to Malta by August 1925.

I am currently doing some research on Malta revenues, and I would like to confirm these stamps' date of issue. The current edition of Barefoot and a now-out-of-print local catalogue give the date of issue as 1926, but on Revenue Reverend and previous editions of Barefoot the date of issue is given as 1925.

So far the earliest use that I've seen is 4 April 1926, which seems to support 1 April 1926 as the probable issue date. By any chance, does anyone have copies of these stamps which are cancelled between August 1925 and March 1926?
